CSafe Global, the leader in temperature-controlled container solutions, will begin providing their passive Parcel shipping containers to Kimera Labs this month allowing the company to ship their products anywhere in the world to further ongoing medical research.
Kimera Labs is a leading exosome biotechnology laboratory specializing in the production of mesenchymal stem cell-derived (MSC) exosome products for scientific and clinical research. Until recently, the company was able to use short-duration temperature-controlled shippers because product destinations were rather close and overnight shipping was feasible.
“In the past several months, we’ve received orders for our products from locations where overnight delivery is simply not an option,” noted Duncan Ross, Ph.D., Founder and CEO of Kimera Labs. “The containers we had on hand were not able to maintain the needed temperature long enough to ensure product integrity upon delivery. We had to find a solution that would meet our standards for quality and accommodate long-term growth.”
CSafe’s Parcel portfolio offers protection, simplicity and efficiency by design. With an optimized design for pack-out simplicity, 50% longer shipment durations confirmed in a third-party testing facility against market-leading solution, and hibernation capabilities to mitigate unforeseen supply chain risks, CSafe has been able to not only provide a solution that will protect Kimera Labs’ products during longer transports, but also allows them to ship products five days a week instead of only four.
“The superior VIP insulation in our Parcel solutions provides extended hold times for 120+ hour shipment durations,” explained Emilio Frattaruolo, CSafe’s vice president of innovation, passive systems. “Combined with the fact that CSafe Parcels are qualified to ISTA 7D worst case challenge testing, the team at Kimera Labs can rest assured that their products will arrive in optimal condition.”
CSafe Global is now providing their passive Parcel solution to Kimera Labs allowing them to meet ongoing demand in new locations even in the current challenged supply chain.
