Ahlstrom has expanded its product portfolio of pressure-sensitive adhesive packaging tape applications with the addition of a new MasterTape Pack range that promotes plastic-free packaging.
The new products, MasterTape WAT and MasterTape Pack are said to be high-quality product range for packaging tape applications.
According to the Finnish speciality materials provider, the products are intended to meet the demand for performance packaging tape backings.
They also provide a sustainable tape solution capable of protecting and securing packages with the utmost care.
Ahlstrom also launched the MasterTape Pack Green solution. It is a ready-to-adhesive coat tape backing that is said to provide performance, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.
Additionally, the speciality materials provider unveiled MasterTape Pack Crepe to meet the consumer’s demand more efficiently.
MasterTape Pack Crepe is a paper-based alternative and is claimed as a low-basis weight tape backing with high stretching properties.
The product expands the company’s product offering for pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape backing. It also supports the growing demand in the packaging sector for plastic-free packaging.
Ahlstrom said its tape products utilise FSC-certified fibres, high biobased content, and life cycle evaluation to lower the environmental footprint.
MasterTape Pack extends the fibre-based product range and aligns with the recent trends in e-commerce and the global need for more sustainable packaging solutions.
Last month, the speciality materials provider launched its new label release papers that contain post-consumer recycled fibres and unbleached cellulose fibres.
The new label release papers, Acti-V RF Yellow paper and Acti-V RF Natural paper, expand Ahlstrom’s Acti-V range of label release liners.
