Smithers industry-leading Sustainability in Packaging Europe event returns to Barcelona on 16-18 October 2023. Over 45 speakers from across the breadth of the packaging industry have been confirmed to present, with the main focus of this year’s event being how to achieve circularity in packaging.
The 2023 agenda was carefully curated with insights from big industry players including Amcor, Mondi, METRO AG, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Carlsberg Group, Billerud and more, led by Smithers’ Head of Production, Sabine Prack.
As Europe’s largest sustainable packaging conference, delegates can expect to receive a full 360 perspective on how companies have achieved circularity and insights into the challenges and successes from key stakeholders. Practical examples will be provided from the likes of Metro AG, Aldi, Schwarz Group, PreZero, Nestlé, WWF, UPM, Circpack and P&G.
Sessions at the event include the discussion of the European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), circularity in the retail sector, recyclability at scale, reusable and refillable business models, brand perspective and strategies, bioplastics and compostability, chemical recycling, mechanical recycling, PCR packaging, start-ups and investors, and circularity and design.
