ClearBags has launched new product lines to expand the company’s sustainable packaging options.
The home-compostable child-resistant bags are certified by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and are aimed at the pharmacy market. The stand-up pouches are made from a proprietary blend of materials that are food safe and heat-sealable. Each bag comes with a round hang hole and notches for display and ease of use.
The bags are designed to break down in a composting environment, making them biodegradable. They also feature a high barrier coating that aims to retain odours and freshness and protect against moisture and oxygen. In addition, the child-resistant zippers require two-hand dexterity to open and instructions are printed on the inner flap.
ClearBags has also released iridescent boxes made of food-safe, 12mil high-density PET material. The pre-creased boxes lay flat for shipping and storage convenience and have pop-and-lock technology that allows for quick assembly. The boxes are aimed at retail markets.
These new products follow the company’s launch in late 2022 of stand-up pouches, doypacks, gusset bags, window boxes and packaging accessories.
Clearbags is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was founded in 1992. It ships packaging solutions to more than 100 countries.
